You can get all these supplies from your local hobby store. You certainly don't need all of them. Colored card stock will make the base of your baby announcement cards. You can choose many different colors, but one of the most popular is a mixture of blue and pink. These have traditionally been the colors which represent new babies throughout history, and by using them, you can participate in that tradition. If you don't feel like using blue and pink, then purple and yellow are excellent neutral baby colors.

A paper cutter is essential if you'd like your baby announcements to look professional. You can use scissors, but it is often hard to make all the edges completely straight.

You will also need some type of adhesive to put together your baby announcements. Any type of glue or tape can work, but it is recommended that you use Acid-free tape, especially if you plan on using pictures of your baby. Acid-free tape doesn't damage pictures nearly as much as those other types of adhesives.

Colored Staples are also a fun and trendy way to attach the different parts of your baby announcements. One thing which is essential is a good stencil or some letter cut-outs. The use of these tools will make your baby announcement stand out from everyone else's and make them look extremely professional.

Ink stamps are also a great way to embellish your baby announcement cards. You can find stamps of diaper pins, baby shoes, baby bonnets, and many other related baby items. This can be a great way to show off your creativity. Finally, ribbons and bows can add a final decorative touch to your announcements. A simple pink or blue bow at the top of the announcement is all that is usually needed, but you can certainly get more creative if you wish.
